Football xG Calculator
The xG Calculator turns a shot location into an expected-goals value you can explain. Tap the pitch with the target goal at the top, choose whether the chance was a shot with the foot or head, and mark open play, pressure, a direct free kick, or a penalty. Each marker shows its xG. The summary adds shots, goals, and total xG so a training finishing drill or a match recap has a number attached to the picture.

FAQ
- Is this Opta or StatsBomb xG?
- No. It is an illustrative CrunchClash model. xG rises when the shot is closer to goal and the posts subtend a wider angle. Headers and pressured shots are reduced. Penalties are fixed at 0.76. It will not match a commercial expected-goals feed.
- Which goal am I shooting at?
- The top goal. A shot placed near the top penalty spot is a good chance; a shot near the bottom goal is a long effort toward the far end.
- Do I need an account?
- No. The calculator runs in the browser. Nothing is sent to CrunchClash and no credits are used.
